3Com - Messaging and Convergence

   

Network convergence combines voice and data traffic on one network, enabling a range of real-time productivity-enhancing communications applications. The 3Com® Convergence Applications Suite integrates these applications—IP telephony, IP messaging, IP conferencing, and IP contact center software—at the server level.

The 3Com Convergence Center Client offers an intuitive interface that supports a variety of communications services.

To ensure audio quality it supports the following capabilities:

•     Audio Codecs G.711 and G.729
•     Silence Suppression (for G.729)
•     DiffServ/ToS byte QoS Support
•     Packetization duration of 20 ms (G.711) and 30       ms (G.729)
